Having a photographer who specializes in branding photography is essential to growing your business! Branding photography is a specific niche and having a photographer with knowledge of what looks best for your business and to highlight the product or services you offer can sometimes be hard to nail down.
Businesses need to find creative ways to display, showcase and highlight the theme and mood behind your products, services or brand in order to compete in today’s market. The goal for this client was to find a way to showcase her bartending services and drinks in a way that was elegant and poised but also seductive. We chose for the body to be displayed as if it was the backdrop to the variety of beverages that they normally provide. We used a single lighting feature against a black backdrop, and we chose to have the body bare as an additional way to honor and accentuate its beauty.
This session was unique because although we honored the beauty of the body in its purest form- we did not cover it up with lingerie or fabric of any kind. We allowed the body to showcase itself and be the tapestry. We highlighted the beauty of it and all the ways it can move to ultimately accomplish the goals of creating mystery and wonder, as well as creating a longing for more.
This business owner gave me freedom to choose the model, and she gave no restrictions in re-creating her vision. These types of sessions really allow for the photographer to have artistic freedom and exploration of art, many times when there isn’t a huge sense of control- magic happens.
We can experiment with lighting to create shadows and illuminate objects in multiple ways creating images that are interesting and draw the eye. We can use the black back drop to allow the image to almost fade away and highlight the objects in a way to draw the eye to specific objects and lure the attention of the audience to want to experience more.
