By Ashley St. Clair Photography – Oklahoma Senior Photographer
Senior year is a time packed with milestones—final dances, college prep, last games, and unforgettable friendships. For these three stunning seniors, one of their favorite memories came from an experience they didn’t even expect to share: their senior photo session.
What made this session truly unique wasn’t just the location or the beautiful light (although downtown Oklahoma City gave us plenty of that). It was the decision to take their senior photos together, as best friends, celebrating their bond as they closed one chapter and got ready to step into the next.
A Shared Session With Three Unique Stories

These three girls all came from different backgrounds and walks of life, yet under one roof—Mom’s roof—they shared laughter, excitement, and a coordinated plan for a senior session that would mark the end of their high school journey in a way that truly honored who they are. Each senior brought something different to the shoot—different styles, personalities, and stories—but they coordinated their looks and helped support each other every step of the way.
As a professional senior photographer, I always tell families: your session should reflect who you are, not just what you look like. And this session did exactly that.
Three Birds, One Stone (And a Happy Mom!)
Let’s be honest—scheduling senior photos can be a challenge, especially with multiple kids. But this mom was brilliant: instead of booking three separate shoots, she scheduled one group session. Not only did that save time and coordination stress, but it also created a once-in-a-lifetime memory for the girls.
And it’s something I’d absolutely recommend to other families or even friend groups. If your teen has a few best friends they’ve been inseparable from during their school years, why not share the spotlight for a day? You still get individual portraits, personality-packed candids, and solo time—but the group experience adds an extra layer of meaning and fun.

A Prank, Some Goggles, and A Whole Lot of Laughing
Here’s the part that made this session extra unforgettable: the senior prank war. Apparently, the seniors were deep into a water gun game where if you were caught without goggles, you were OUT. And yes—one of our girls was still in the game!
Cue the chaos.
At any moment, another group of seniors might drive by and try to “get” her. So Mom, the MVP of the session, was on high alert, tossing goggles to her daughter every time a suspicious car approached. It became such a central theme of the shoot that we even snapped a few pictures with the goggles on—because why not capture the real stuff happening in this season of life?
It was spontaneous, it was chaotic, it was hilarious—and it’s exactly the kind of energy that makes senior photographymagical. It’s not about perfect poses; it’s about authentic moments that tell a story.
Two Looks: Cap and Gown + Personality Power
For this session, we kept it classic but fun with two distinct looks. Each senior wore a white dress with their cap and gown for timeless graduation shots. Then we switched things up with outfits of their choice—styles that felt like them. Whether it was trendy, boho, or bold, this second look gave us the chance to showcase their individuality.
As always, I sent over my Location Guide beforehand, filled with my favorite spots around the city. They chose a quaint, artsy corner of downtown Oklahoma City that gave us the perfect blend of urban edge and natural beauty—some lush foliage here, some architectural drama there.
No Rules, Just You

One of my favorite things about senior photo sessions is that there are no rules. Want to bring props that reflect your hobbies? Do it. Want to include your dog? Let’s go. Want to take a photo with Mom at the end? YES, PLEASE.
Which is exactly what these three did. At the end of our time together, they pulled Mom into the frame and created a moment none of them will forget. It’s a reminder that this milestone isn’t just for the seniors—it’s a celebration for the families who’ve loved them through every stage.
Fast Turnaround + Even Faster Love
After the shoot, I edited and delivered the gallery quickly (as always!). When Mom texted me, her message nearly made me cry: “These photos are absolutely amazing. Thank you so much!”
That right there—that feedback—is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. I don’t take your investment lightly. Every shoot is personal, and I pour my heart into capturing your loved ones with honesty, beauty, and care.
